dear my dear

Dear my dear,

The trouble with this world
Is not entirely in the naturally
Occurring tragedies that we face
But in the lack of empathy to care
For the helpless
Creatures who have fallen down to their knees vulnerable, trembling, cold
Lonely and hurt.
The hearts of men and women can be so cruel, as to just be impartial and or even give less of a damn to the motherland
That gave them birth; it's important to recognize your worth

Dear my dear!
It takes more than honest
Intentions to fulfill the needs
Of those who are less fortunate
For the wrath of nature strikes when
It's least expected
Washing families away while they sleep.
Houses blown and hopes for survival
Is depleted.
My heart ached when I heard of the Quake
I wonder if it's really too late
If not let's come together
This is for those who believe
In recovery

Oh dear my dear!!!
It's been years and I've lost what I thought I had all along
Lately, I've seen the beauty in the brotherhood among Filipinos
And the love that's never lost
No matter how far apart they can be.
Although I haven't seen you in nearly fifteen
I kept the memory of you in my dreams
I used to bike in Circle
You taught me
How to be a boy scout
I used to fly home made paper kites with walis-ting ting sticks under the cloud
You told things I can never forget
You gave me lessons in love
In life
In trusting
In forgiving
You made me who I am and I'm proud to call myself yours

Dear my dear,
I'm trying to come down on an unfamiliar path
With no light to see what's ahead
I move forward to help you with no regrets
Will you take my hand at this chance?
On the road to recovery
There will be hope at last.

Love,

-Francis M.
